Burmese Bites is an interactive flashcard tool introducing traditional Myanmar dishes. It helps Burmese children and families, especially those affected by migration, reconnect with their heritage by learning food names, pronunciations, and meanings in both Burmese and English. The tool fosters cultural pride and strengthens generational ties.
Su is a third-year Visual Communication student passionate about cultural expression and raising awareness of their Burmese identity. Their project, Burmese Bites, reflects Su’s personal journey—adapting to Australian culture made them forget their Burmese roots, a struggle they now see mirrored in their younger siblings and other children.
