Charm Parlour redefines tattoo studio branding by seamlessly combining modern elements with feminine charm. With a striking red palette and playful aesthetic, it appeals to a global audience seeking custom, meaningful tattoos. The branding suite embodies personalisation and artistry, empowering clients to embrace their unique stories.
Branding is a vital aspect of differentiating a tattoo studio in a competitive industry. A strong, cohesive brand communicates professionalism, creativity, and the unique artistic expertise of the studio, helping attract clients who are seeking specific styles or services. Effective branding builds trust and establishes a loyal client base by showcasing the studio’s values, mission, and identity. A well-crafted brand identity includes elements such as a distinctive logo, thoughtful colour schemes, consistent typography, and imagery that reflect the studio’s ethos and artistic vision. By connecting with the right audience and maintaining a compelling story, studios can build strong relationships and a lasting presence in the tattoo industry.
The primary objective of this project is to develop a complete brand identity that reflects Charm Parlour’s unique style, inclusive ethos, and high-quality service offering. Specifically, the branding will:
Establish Charm Parlour’s presence as a modern, upscale tattoo studio with a playful, inviting aesthetic.
Appeal to gender-fluid individuals aged 20-40, particularly those in creative, urban communities who appreciate customisation and high craftsmanship.
Ensure a seamless and engaging customer experience across both physical and digital touchpoints, reinforcing the studio’s artistic and professional values.
Differentiate Charm Parlour from competitors through unique design elements, consistent visual language, and a strong digital presence.

The project faces several constraints that require careful management for timely delivery. A tight timeline demands efficient feedback and decision-making to avoid delays. Ensuring consistency across all branding elements—digital platforms, merchandise, and signage—adds complexity within the limited timeframe. The designs must appeal to a diverse, global audience while maintaining Charm Parlour’s aesthetic. These challenges require precise planning to meet deadlines without compromising quality.

Chloe (22, Art Student): Chloe is a young art student with a limited budget but a strong desire for affordable, unique tattoos. She seeks a studio that offers artistic, one-of-a-kind designs that are accessible for her student lifestyle.

After revisiting the initial mood board inspiration and considering the specific style of tattoos the studio would produce, the concept began to evolve. The framed, stylistic tattoos—delicate and intricate—became a core design focus, leading to the introduction of lockets and charms as key stylistic components. These elements complemented the feminine, fine-line aesthetic, and aligned with the studio’s vision of creating bespoke, meaningful tattoos. During the design process, I experimented with a variety of colour palettes to find the perfect balance of playfulness and elegance, all while incorporating a charm icon to tie the theme together. The typography was also a significant focus, with the combination of AdornS Pomander, Soya, and Hummingbird fonts helping to craft a distinct brand identity. This blend of fonts added a sense of whimsy, sophistication, and individuality to the branding. Ultimately, these design explorations led to the chosen iteration of “Charm Parlour” and its accompanying visual identity, which beautifully reflects the studio’s unique offerings.
