Visual Communication - Bachelors
The Australian-based women's wear label Lou Studioz surfaced in early 2024 – the label prides itself on creating good quality garments that people will keep and wear for days on end. This project aims to establish its visual identity, paying close homage to the brand’s core values and goals.
The minimalist branding aims to create genuine interest in clothing practices, rather than making them the ‘commercial’ selling point.
The logo design is embedded in classic typography, emphasising clarity and effective communication without unnecessary embellishments. By selecting the ‘Alliance’ sans-serif typeface and making deliberate adjustments to individual letterforms, the design achieves a balance of elegance and legibility, embodying the brand’s transformative vision for the fashion industry. This is accompanied by a pictorial logo that represents the concept of a single thread unifying the brand, signalling a commitment to sustainable fashion practices and minimising textile waste in capsule collections.
Lou Studioz currently operates predominately as an offline brand. Building a website is essential for customers to shop and engage with the capsule collection. An online platform will enhance accessibility, allowing a broader audience to discover and interact with the brand.
For the upcoming collection release at Lou Studioz, invitations have been created to preview the collection.
The zine is designed to manifest the brand’s purpose and values. It was fitting to bring Lou Studioz’s fashion culture and principles together to create the lookbook – a collection designed to bring timeless pieces of clothing without compromising sustainable choices.
