The name “Nekkoutai” is a silly and playful combination of the Japanese words, “Nekko” (cat) and “Rippoutai” (cube), capturing the essence of the flagship product’s design and the brand’s overarching theme of beauty in contrast and disorder.

With four distinctive yet equally cute designs as well as one limited edition, Nekkoutai is an independent art toy that captures the playful yet serene nature of cats, revolving around the duality of their nature—gentle yet chaotic, sharp yet soft, cute yet wicked—offering my interpretation of these chameleon-like creatures, celebrating their whimsical intricacy while using their playful and rebellious spirit as a mean to challenge traditional designer toys
