Sonata Festive is an immersive art exhibit that blends classical music with modern visual elements, creating a multi-sensory experience. Inspired by the word "sonata" and themes of contrast and progression, the exhibit reimagines classical art and music through contemporary digital visualisers, offering a dynamic journey that engages sight, sound, and emotion.

The design concept of Sonata revolves around the intersection of classical music and modern visualisers, creating a unique, sensory-driven experience. Inspired by the word “sonata,” which represents contrasting musical movements, the exhibit captures the fluidity and progression of classical music through dynamic, animated art. Muted shades and darker tones draw from classical art and compositions like Swan Lake, while softer pastel palettes and floral elements symbolise the arrival of spring, contributing to the exhibit’s overall atmosphere. Using tools such as Blender, Procreate, and After Effects, the project blends hand-drawn art with digital animations to evoke both the serenity and complexity of classical music, bringing these visual pieces to life in an immersive exhibit.

The creative decisions behind Sonata are driven by a desire to explore the balance between tradition and modernity, much like the contrasting movements of a sonata. By remixing classical music with abstract, surrealist visuals, the exhibit allows audiences to experience familiar compositions in a new, digital medium. This choice of blending visualisers with classical music is not only a tribute to the timeless nature of these art forms, but also an invitation to engage with them in a multi-sensory way. The use of muted and pastel colours mirrors the emotional range of the music, while the abstract, surreal visual style draws viewers deeper into the moods conveyed by the compositions. The project aims to enhance emotional engagement, encouraging audiences to reflect on the evolving relationship between sound, sight, and storytelling.
