Wanderful is a children’s book publisher on a mission to rekindle connection, mindfulness, an a sense of effervescent awe.

Their first book is 'Our Sensational World' - a guide to rediscovering the world through fresh, curious eyes for parents and their little ones alike.

Throughout the book, children are encouraged to use all of their senses — both physical and abstract — to experience the magic hidden in everyday life.

At Wanderful, we believe that curiosity, wonder, and emotional understanding are essential to a child’s development. In today’s fast-paced world, where kids and parents are increasingly absorbed in technology, it’s easy to overlook the beauty and simple joys of the world around us.

CHILDREN’s storybook ‘OUR SENSATIONAL WORLD’

‘Our Sensational World’ serves as a visual guide to rediscovering the world through fresh, curious eyes for parents and their little ones alike.
Readers follow Lily as she explores her home throughout the day. Despite being a mundane environment, she is amazed by all of the sensations she encounters. By making the familiar feel extraordinary, ‘Our Sensational World’ sparks curiosity and inspires a lifelong sense of wonder.

The personal inspiration behind the storybook is my family. The recent birth of my baby brother and how he’s learning about the world around him, as well as my curious childhood filled with moments of shared discovery, are so precious to me. I wanted to create an ode to this part of my upbringing in the hopes to inspire young minds.

ABOUT THE ACTIVITY BOOK

The activity book is designed to complement the storybook and Wanderful’s purpose: encouraging curiosity, appreciation and mindfulness.

These are free printables that are designed to be as simple and accessible as possible. Families are encouraged to print as many copies so they have unlimited access to endless adventures. I wanted to limit barriers like printing access and finance, and let’s be real – kids are messy! Thus, these pages are single, A4 sheets that can be easily replaced and recycled.

To access, readers can simply scan the QR code at the back of the story book, print on A4 paper, and enjoy!

MERCHANDISE

A variety of stickers, vintage Scouts inspired patches and hoodies support Wanderful’s brand image. These merchandise items were chosen because they are universally loved by all ages!

Laura is a third year Bc Design student majoring in Visual Communications and minoring in Interactive Design. She's made her way into industry as a passionate marketing account coordinator at Brisbane Digital Co in Brendale. But the journey hasn't been straightforward! In 2021, she left the microscopes and pipettes of her medical laboratory degree behind to pursue her passion for creative communication at QUT.
